Cambridge English Language Certification

I.I.S. Castelli provides a preparatory course for 3rd, 4th and 5th year students who want to obtain an English language certification, levels B1 and B2.
The University of Cambridge has an international exam board that provides such recognised qualifications by means of ESOL examinations, PET (Preliminary English Test), and FCE (First Certificate of English):

-      The PET qualification is targeted at level B1 of the CEFR. It shows that students have mastered the basics of English and have practical skills for everyday use in writing, reading, speaking and listening.

-      The FCE qualification proves that students have the language skills to live and work independently in an English speaking country or study at courses taught in English. It shows that they can communicate effectively and can write various types of text.

Lessons are given by an English mother tongue teacher and are held in the afternoon; these qualifications give access to the labour market and are also recognised by a lot of universities.
